When visiting, you can explore five miles of trails through woodlands, wetlands, and South Texas scrub. In fact, there are even a few American Alligators at the park! Moreover, birding is always fantastic in this part of Texas, and birders have spotted many varieties including Green Jays, White-tipped Doves, Altamira Orioles, and the Indigo Blind.
Additionally, the Weslaco Museum is a great place to spend an afternoon. During your visit, you can learn all about this South Texas town’s rich history, people, culture, and architecture.
