Stage 1 – Free Consultation
At our practice, your beautiful smile begins with a thorough examination of your oral health by Dr. Taylor, done at no charge to you! You will also get to meet our team at A Perfect Smile Orthodontics while you are here. Your Free Consultation includes full x-rays, photos, and a complete exam of your teeth, jaws, and facial structure. Once the exam is completed, we can advise you of all of your different options along with pricing structure.
Stage 2 – The Big Day
This is the day that your braces go on! It’s also the start of your path to a beautiful smile! This part of the process does not hurt and no needles are involved. Dr. Taylor will attach the brackets to your teeth using a special bonding adhesive. They will also place the archwires, and attach the elastics. We will also spend time with you to go over how to take care of your oral hygiene with braces and give you some tips to make your adjustment to having braces go as smoothly and pain-free as possible.
Stage 3 – Adjustments
You will need to come in at regular intervals so that your orthodontist can monitor your progress and make adjustments. Each time your braces are adjusted, your teeth will move a little closer to their new positions and to the end goal of having beautiful straight teeth! If you have any questions or concerns, we are always happy to help in any way possible.
Stage 4 – Removal of your braces
Woo Hoo! Congratulations! You did it! Today, you will get to see the end result and your beautiful new smile. Your orthodontist will remove your wires and brackets, which is a pain-free procedure. Your teeth will be polished and then the moment of truth arrives – you’ll get to see your pretty smile in the mirror.
Stage 5 – Your Retainer
You will be fitted for a retainer after your braces come off in order to maintain your results. It’s common for teeth to naturally want to move back into their old position so it’s important to wear your retainers as needed to prevent this from happening and to ensure that your smile lasts a lifetime!
