Do you want to correct your teeth alignment and receive a great smile, but don’t want to wear the more noticeable metal braces?
A Perfect Smile Orthodontics offers you the opportunity to change the way you smile.
We want to assure you that you have certainly come to the right place for your orthodontic needs. Dr. David Taylor is the only Elite Invisalign provider in the Rio Grande Valley! Offering the latest technology in Invisalign, we are here to help you achieve your beautiful and healthy smile!
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign clear braces truly are as advertised — a clear alternative to braces! The aligners are completely clear, comfortable, and 100% removable trays that fit on top of your teeth. These aligners offer a less pronounced look while providing the same great smile offered by traditional braces.
Many of our patients tell us that the best part of using the clear aligners is being able to eat what they want, when they want, without fear of damaging the removable aligners!
Invisalign can correct most orthodontic issues such as:
- Crowded and crooked teeth
- Gaps in teeth
- Overbites
- Underbites
- Crossbites
- Open bites
If you ever thought you weren’t a candidate for Invisalign, we encourage you to come in for a free consultation with Dr. Taylor. He has treated hundreds of patients successfully with Invisalign, some of whom were told by other orthodontists that their cases were too complicated.
I’m glad I found this place for my Invisalign treatment! Dr. Taylor and the staff are very professional and accommodating. They listened to my concerns and provided excellent service. The Invisalign treatment does take time, but Dr. Taylor made sure my treatment stayed on track. I’m so happy to be done and really pleased with my new smile!” – CeCee T.
What are the Benefits of Invisalign?
For teens, young adults, and adults, Invisalign clear aligners are the new go-to option for orthodontic care. Some of the amazing benefits include:
- They are virtually invisible; most people will not even be able to tell you are wearing them.
- They are removable and comfortable; while designed for wear at least 20-22 hours per day, the aligners are removable for your individual lifestyle demands, and for eating and drinking. Special occasions, speaking engagements, and other important events are no problem if you want to remove your aligners to give you a boost of confidence!
- Maintain easier oral hygiene. Because the trays are removable, you will take them out when you eat or drink, which not only allows you to enjoy all your favorite food and drinks but also allows for easier brushing and flossing. Unlike traditional braces, which restrict what foods you can eat, and require a more regimented brushing and flossing routine to get in between all the wires and crevices, all you have to do with Invisalign is to remove your trays.
- Fewer office visits. The aligners are a series of “trays” that gradually move your teeth into the desired position. The trays are usually changed out for a new set every two weeks. We will provide these trays early in your treatment, allowing for fewer trips to the orthodontist for traditional adjustments.
- Affordable. We offer specials and in-house financing options to make Invisalign an option for you!
How Does Invisalign Work?
At A Perfect Smile Orthodontics, we strive to make the smile perfection process quick, painless, and fun. To best make sure that Invisalign is right for you, we ask that you schedule a private consultation with Dr. Taylor and his orthodontic professionals. For more information on this, you can also visit Invisalign’s official website.
At your consultation, Dr. Taylor will begin by taking a digital scan of your mouth, using the iTero® Scanner that will create a 3D replica of your teeth. With this image, he will actually be able to show you how your teeth will look after the process! We will then send these images to Invisalign to create a series of custom-made “trays” that will gently move your teeth into the desired position as you change them out.
In preparation for the trays, Dr. Taylor will attach small “bumps” to several of your teeth, designed so that the aligners have something to grip onto. These are made to exactly match the color of your teeth, so like the aligners, they are virtually invisible.
Once the aligners arrive, Dr. Taylor and his staff will explain how often you will wear each set of aligners. Usually, a week or two for each set. They will tell you how often we will need to see you in the office to check your progress. They will also give you care instructions for your aligners.
You may feel slight discomfort in your gums or teeth when starting the aligners, or when you switch to new trays. This is not uncommon and can be easily alleviated with over-the-counter pain remedies. Any discomfort you experience usually only lasts for a day or two until your teeth adjust to their new position.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Invisalign is slightly more expensive than traditional braces, but it is not possible to determine the exact cost until you have a complete exam to determine the severity of your individual case, and the length of treatment that will be required. It is our goal to make your Invisalign treatment as affordable as we can, so we offer:
- $500 off of your Invisalign Treatment
- Affordable, in-house monthly payment plans with no credit check for those who need financial assistance
- Free teeth whitening after your treatment is completed
We will also check your dental benefits to see if you also have orthodontic benefits, and will go over all of this with you during your consultation.
How Do I Care for my Invisalign Aligners?
The aligners are very easy to care for but remember they are clear plastic, so you will want to take extra care when cleaning them. The aligners should be cleaned every time you take them out, such as when eating and drinking or when brushing and flossing. It is recommended that you clean the aligners with antibacterial soap and a soft toothbrush. It is best if you have a designated soft toothbrush for the aligners, NOT the one you brush your teeth with. If brushing the aligners is not possible in certain settings, then they should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. You do not want to use harsh cleaners containing strong scents or dyes, as these will cause the plastic to scratch or stain. It is also recommended that the aligners be soaked once per day in denture cleaner or Invisalign Crystals. An ideal time to do that would be when you have them out while enjoying a meal.
The aligners come with special cases you will want to keep with you at all times. Because the aligners are removed every time you eat or drink anything (besides clear, non-carbonated water) you will want to store them in their case. This prevents them from being contaminated, or worse, accidentally thrown away!
Received Invisalign treatment and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Taylor and the staff were more than willing to work with me and my schedule. The entire place is like a well-oiled machine. There are several choices out there, but I felt so good about Dr. Taylor and his team of professionals that I would fly in for my appointments. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone for their treatment with Dr. Taylor and his team!” – Craig R.
What can I Expect When I Finish the Invisalign Treatment?
First and foremost, you can expect to have a beautiful new smile! Once your treatment is completed, Dr. Taylor will advise you of your choices for retainers to help you maintain your new beautiful smile! Retainers for Invisalign are also clear trays, just like the aligners themselves.
Invisalign is a wonderful option versus traditional braces for teens and adults. The virtually invisible aligners make them the perfect option for those of you that have active, busy, and professional lifestyles but don’t want to have the appearance of traditional braces.
